I know everyone knows that in Germany certain symbols are banned in public use: This has, at least occasionally, now extended up to the Celtic cross. (The Odalsrune is permitted on uniforms from main to upper Stabsfeldwebeln, also on promotional events of the Bundeswehr, but not on any demonstrations.)
Turkey, however, for that I could probably just include a relevant gap in education, in their efforts to free the citizens from Ohngeiste, perhaps what we should recognize ungrudgingly even a bit further than we did. Because it prohibits when the following quote from the FAZ to be believed, with us completely normal, ajar to the Latin alphabet letters:
"Just a court in Diyarbakir, the unofficial capital of Turkish Kurds, the cancellation of 19 Kurdish names for parks and roads has decreed as the banned Kurdish letters were x or w contained in the names."
Now, with the eradication of the "X" it would be in German not so difficult as you might it even transcribe as "cks" or (on the rare word beginnings) "ks" light: What do we do to avoid being a terrorist friends with our "W"?
How, when, where away with the "W"?
Well, the "W" has evolved from a double "U": So, are we off the hook if we continue to be held "Seagull" and "Lion" "Möuue" write "and" Löuue, as Turkey souueit, I know , the "U" still allowed?
