I prefer the positive view of things.
You had me at some point asked what the God of the Old Testament has to do with the Son of God of the New Testament, since you both seem incompatible.
With this view, the way you stand not alone. Now that I know the Bible far more, I am willing to say that Jesus Christ has nothing to do with the "God" of the Old Testament, at least not with the God according to Genesis.
