Runes and a Steadfast

An old linguistics professor, has long Emeritus, I was able to enjoy himself in his full glory and academic mercilessness even told me a few days ago, as I him whether research related to my on zeitgeist-online.de now published book review (Karl Heinz Göttert: German - a language biography) called, there was almost a renaissance of interest in the runes.

When I mentioned that I've noticed in passing of considerable diligence in Japan, he said, the Japanese took care of quite touching in fact very seriously.

Touched myself how a well already on octogenarian me stood to answer questions, the same was ready to shift down the stove to control his bookshelf and even to start me a chat about German dialects, one in which I as a visiting student (I had not at that time was in the German language written) twenty years ago, just attended a seminar.

Certainly not at the peak of his physical powers, was talking about a still wide-awake, self-determined spirit that those Alzheimer's disease will never be able to reach, because he has the ultimate antidote in his mental medicine cabinet : Stable mental occupation, attention to what has been learned, never slacking, enjoyment of work, previously always a wanderer in the wild (I hope today, plus we were not), an obvious Satisfied, even if it the rejuvenating joy own offspring, as far as I know, was not granted.

This man has just spiritual children, like other men I've known and respected, friends, hopefully for life, now maybe no bodily longer testify.

I'm otherwise's assume that this man has watched the media nor in the last few years, as I do.

PS: almost fifteen years ago was, I remember, for reasons I will not explain here, of well oriented in a different sense page spread the rumor, the oh-so evil old man had passed away. "Evil" was and he is fortunately still at best in the sense that he never had anything left for ungegründetes chatter and remained faithful to it. The result and the least sanity is replaced permanently.
